Summer is -really- over
Bleh.
this week has been full of intense acad and orgwork. i think all of these made me shift again to serious-mode, away from the happy go lucky me that I enjoyed all throughout summer. no more YM chats that can exhaust the last drop of brain juice i can squeeze out until 2 in the morning (i once remember talking to someone straight from 10pm to literally 4 in the morning, whew!). no more "i have to update my blog everyday" commitments. no more badminton matches every wed afternoon. no more jogging every fri evening with jed around sunken. everything has been literally taken off my list. im beginning to take the life of a senior seriously, and its not fun at all.
i miss summer. everything was automatic and worry-free. i go home from school, watch some TV and come 10pm, i do nothing but soak into boredom (even had one whole entry about boredom), hunting for another bored soul that can feed my ego over YM. i remember finishing off 4 cups of strong caffeine fix in many nights, averaging about 2 cups every night. and every night felt so good, it was like experiencing bliss while still being imperfectly human. now thats gone, and all i have to embrace me are shit-loads of books (ugh, those DNA strands in my MBB book just flashed in my thoughts again). rain doesnt even come that often, and thats sad because theyre supposed to romanticize boring evenings, or add ambience to some self-imposed drama a la dawson's creek or roswell (sigh, i miss roswell) or the OC (am about to finish season 2!!!). Dear lord, since you've been running my life with too much rain (metaphorically), can u give me the real ones too? :P
More jed shirts on their way
ive been receiving too many shirts na for my bday. lol. not my fault, ive been asking people naman din, and tight fit ones for that. as of today, i have received 5 shirts: 1 from a hs friend, 2 from relatives and 2 from debsoc, the latest i just got this morning as pasalubong. not that im complaining, i think shirts are one of the most personal gifts one can give in this world. maita's still tops the list though.
Faking a smile with the coffee to go
not that i had a bad day, but this has been my favorite song this week, the song is so melodic, ganda pa ng lyrics, it mocks why we should be worried of bad days in the first place. here's an excerpt...
Bad Day/Daniel Powter
You stand in the line just to hit a new low
You're faking a smile with the coffee to go --> makes me giggle whenever a good song includes the word 'coffee' sa lyrics
You tell me your life's been way off line
You're falling to pieces everytime
And I don't need no carryin' on
Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie --> REM's "Bad Day" has the similar lyrics, "it's been a bad day, pls dont take a picture", is there a western idiom on this?
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day
Well you need a blue sky holiday
The point is they laugh at what you say
And I don't need no carryin' on

nuff said, some ppl think of too much possessiveness sometimes.
